I own a 95 1500A.   It didn't take me long to realize that the stock seat was a poor excuse for a saddle.   About 15,000 miles ago, I bought the Travelcade saddle, with the gel insert and leather top.   It is an absolutely incredible ride.   I think the combination of the gel and the leather top is what makes the difference---the gel conforms to my butt and distributes my weight well, and the leather breathes so my rear end doesn't get hot, sticky and sore.   Having a seat that does not heat up to the melting point of plastic in the Sturgis sun is just an added bonus.

The passenger portion of the seat, though not gel filled, does afford the passenger a wider perch than the stock seat--my rear is probably more comfortable than my wife's, but she hasn't complained yet about the change in accomodations from stock.

I've had other custom seats on other bikes, but for my money, this is the best one to date.   It looks good too.   I would rate the saddle at 4½ (hey, nothin is perfect--though this saddle would be if it had an optional backrest--course, if ya need a backrest, maybe ya should consider buying a Hondappotomas. ;) )

Hey, does this sound like a commercial, or what?
